Craft Party at Tea and Crafting

Hey, its Marnie here again!! I just wanted to fill you in on the exciting event I held last week...

Few months ago when I started a Happy Fabric, I had big plans to start doing workshops and to work alongside other creatively minded people. With lots of hard work and planning, I was able to put on a workshop in the most amazing venue last Thursday evening.

Tea and Crafting is a craft workshop space in the beautiful Covent Garden, ran by the lovely Jane Gois. It is almost like the mother ship for creativity. Jane holds different creative workshop daily, for all kinds of occasions. From baby Showers to Hen Dos you can do some amazing workshops here. Janes workshop space is bright, colourful and full of inspiring projects to really get the creative juices pumping. So I couldn’t wait to work in there. The space is so gorgeous I was pleased it didn’t need many extra decorations, just our happy fabric green table cloth and a few sweet treats with our logo on!

Sometimes I pinch myself that this is my job. I feel so fortunate and lucky to get to meet and hang out with so many crafty peeps. Last night was a night just like that .... I hosted a fun creative evening with the awesome folks from Everyone was SO creative with the heat press vinyl and I’m now itching to get some time to myself to get on with some crafting. I was so inspired by everyone’s creations. It was VERY colourful. My type of crafting ??? anyone want to babysit for me this weekend ?. Happy Friday night guys ? UPDATE: are offering T&C followers a 10% discount code for the next week on all orders. Its the perfect excuse to try it out. If I were you I would head straight over to the glitter vinyl and the Happy Flock you will NOT be disappointed. Flock is like a thin layer of suede vinyl .... it’s dreamy . . . . . . #makersgonnamake #inspiring #balloonstylist #makersgonnashare #heattransfervinyl #londonblogger #creativityfound #myrainbow #creativepreneur #creatives #thingstodoinlondon #coventgardenmarket #coventgarden #craftinglove #londoncraft #tissuepapertassels #createandcraft #createandcraftuk #vinyl

With help from Jane, we planned a crafty event for all of our favourite craft bloggers to come and play around with our heat transfer vinyl’s and HappyPress3. We supplied a HUGE variety of colours and textures from our heat transfer vinyl range along with plenty of blank projects for the crafters to create their own designs. It was so inspiring to see all the different ways the crafters used our vinyl’s, by simply hand cutting with scissors and paper punches.

Here are a few examples…

I've woken up buzzing with ideas after last night! ?Yesterday evening I headed to the colourtastic @teaandcrafting for a vinyl fabric party with ✂️??SO MUCH FUN! ?We basically had a big old creative play with the addictive and epic range of heat transfer vinyl...I now want to put it on EVERYTHING!!! ?There were bubbles, cake, and a lot of giggling! The best bit was when @claireabellemakes and @daphnerosaflowers walked in! ?I had no idea they were going - ace to craft and giggle together! ❤️?✂️Thank you SO much and @teaandcrafting for putting on the most wonderful night, you ROCK! ✌️??Aaand, here's one of my makes. Got some more to share, as well as a goodie bag I've not opened yet, whoop! ??Happy Fridayyyyyyyy! ?❤️ #happyfabrics #teaandcrafting #vinyltransfer #coolcrafting #makemore #makersgonnamake #creativenight #52weeksofnew #latestmake #getcreating

Projects included Cushion Cases which were brought from Ikea for £1.75. These are super cheap and are fairly large so they give you a great surface area to create amazing designs to live in your home forever. We also supplied make up bags, embroidery hoops with fabric, coin purses and everybody’s name pre cut in Holo Gold Happy Glitter so they could use them on the day or take them home with them.

We had a great event and loved working alongside these amazingly creative lovely ladies. We hope to do more workshop events so keep your eyes on our social media channels to be the first to know!
