10 Easter crafts for children and adults

From decorative Easter projects to gift ideas, we have united all the inspiration you need for an eggcellent, fun filled Easter. We have gathered some of our own projects mixed with some gorgeous ideas from Pinterest to get your creative juices flowing.

Some felt bunny ears and a woven straw hat are the seamless combination for the Easter bonnet of dreams. Created using our HappyGlitter vinyl and a few HappyFlex details for the flowers, it is the cutest outfit accessory to hunt for those eggs. Why not have a competition to see who can make the best bonnet? It’s a great way to entertain the kids.

How adorable are these little felt carrots? These could be used to store pencils for children's crafts, knives and folks for table décor or even chocolate lollies. Alternatively, rather than sewn details you could add some of our HappyFabric iron on vinyl to add leaves and lines or even a name along the side.

Who’s ready to hunt for eggs around the garden? Me!

With a handmade map you can add all your garden details and some vinyl textures for something more exciting. This could be made using HappyGlitter, HappyFlock, HappyFashion or HappyFlex which all have different effects and textures to feel. Add some Gold ‘X’s to mark the spot and you’re away, let the challenge begin!

A sheep, rabbit and chick made from handprints on Pinterest were too cute not to include. This is similar to our monster tea towel below, we created this using hand shapes. Using HappyFlex we layered up details to make them into characters on fabric. With this idea you could turn hand shapes into anything. What a simple way to create a shape and turn it into a spring farm animal.

A sweet treat gift bag with a personalised touch is always a winner when it can be reused. Add some vinyl details by ironing them onto a small drawstring bag and fill it with the sweetest treats. Why not add names onto the front and place them under an Easter tree?

Banners add a cosiness to your home with a fun and creative touch. Whether you hang them on your lounge wall, hallway or play room it will brighten your day with a mix of bright colours. We used felt to cut banner shapes. Then we used a stencil to draw onto the back of the vinyl and hand cut the letters using scissors. This worked really well in HappyFlex as we could layer the black underneath with a bright colour on top.

Decorate your table with fun napkins for all the family from rabbits to chicks, each napkin could have a different character. Tie them up with some ribbon and display across the plates for a festive look. Children could create their own shapes for their own napkins to reuse all year round. Don’t worry they are washable after 2 days of making, this is so that the vinyl settles on the fabric. There's no need to worry about cleaning them!

A spring chicken storage basket is perfect to fill with the chocolate eggs or even fresh ones, you choose! With two tones of yellow create a subtle contrast in details like the wings. Create this layered effect using HappyFlex vinyl and a pair of scissors.

How about a DIY totebag to get you in the Easter spirit?

We used a blank tote bag to add a HappyGlitter vinyl bunny face and a pop of purple for the ears. We attached the ears by sewing along the hem and couldn’t resist a pom pom for the nose and of course on the back for a tail.

We found this adorable bunny embroidery hoop made from pin stripe fabric, felt and a giant pom pom tail, perfect to hang on a bedroom wall. This could also be created in our HappyFabric vinyl using HappyFlock or Flex to layer up the rabbits details onto the fabric.
